My plan of studying French to communicate with my aunt and my colleagues started off as a short-term project but soon it became a full-on passion to try my best to be fluent in the language.

AFKL is indeed a great place to kick-start learning French, as the teachers here are friendly and more importantly capable of guiding you as you manoeuvre through tricky French grammar.  La bibliotheque d’AFKL is also a great nook for discovering interesting reads from Tintin to Le Monde. 

AFKL also spends great effort in promoting the French language and culture through events such as La Fete de la Musique and movie nights. 10/10 je recommanderais d'apprendre ici.

Mon expérience à l’Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur est incroyable. Je dois dire que le programme des cours a vraiment été  organisé afin d’améliorer le niveau en langue française des élèves. En plus il y a beaucoup d'évènements culturels qui donnent l’opportunité de mieux connaître la culture.

For me, AFKL has always been synonymous with the teaching of French using French natives so when I decided to learn French at the beginning of 2021, it was a clear choice for me to enroll at AFKL.  After 22 months of learning French with AFKL, I have no regrets about choosing AFKL. 

I have had really nice and interesting people  as classmates and my teacher, Frédéric, is superb. He’s an excellent teacher who is very helpful especially when we were preparing for DELF exams and I can say that I look forward to my French classes every week.

8 years of learning French in AFKL is a privilege indeed. The teachers taught me not only the relevant language skills but I learned a lot about French culture through the classes and AFKL events.

It motivates me to keep learning French and I enjoy the library services such as the wide variety of books and film selection.

Je viens à l'Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur pour pratiquer mon français, connaître les autres francophones qui habitent à Kuala Lumpur et profiter des expositions culturelles. Les pains au chocolat dans le café sont très bons aussi…

Dans la classe C1, on parle de beaucoup de thèmes différents comme la musique francophone, le cinéma, la politique et la littérature.

Je recommande l'alliance et ma prof, Karine, à tous qui veulent améliorer leur français dans un lieu charmant et accueillant.

During the pandemic, I decided to learn French, a long-time goal of mine. I chose AFKL's online intensive classes for their flexibility with my work schedule.  AFKL also offered cultural events like movie screenings and art exhibitions to the highly-anticipated Le French Festival, which enhanced my learning experience.

Thanks to AFKL's supportive teachers and support system, I was able to stay motivated despite challenging grammar rules. The classes had a good size, allowing everyone to participate, and covered various topics with interactive resources.

I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today without AFKL, a person who is (still) absolutely in love with the French language and culture. Merci infiniment à AFKL for playing such a massive role in my French-learning journey!
