Suspended Between Two Worlds was born from an inner movement, one of distance and return. For over thirty years, Claire
Lasonnery has lived between continents, languages, and cultures. This life in motion has taught her to see the world from elsewhere, not
through speed but through slowness, light, and matter. Each painting becomes a passage zone, a suspended space between presence and
absence. She works with lacquer as with a slow painting, each layer applied, polished, and revealed becoming a memory of light. The
material sets its own rhythm; it requires waiting, observing, and understanding before acting again. What she seeks is not to represent the
world but to condense it, to capture its silent vibration, its invisible density. Suspended Between Two Worlds explores the
fertile tension between two poles: West and East, rigor and fluidity, science and intuition. The exhibition is a visual meditation on the
fragile balance between grounding and movement.
