Event organised by EUNIC Malaysia, a network of National Institutes for Culture from the member states of the European Union in Malaysia.
What is the European Day of Languages (EDL)?
A day to encourage language learning across Europe. At the initiative of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, the European Day of
Languages
has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26 September.
Why do we celebrate the EDL?
• To build awareness on the importance of language learning to increase plurilingualism and intercultural understanding
• To promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe
• To encourage lifelong language learning in and out of school
Come celebrate this day with European Institutes for Culture, hosted by none other than Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur, the official and largest language institution for French in Malaysia!
Participating countries:
Czechia, France, Poland, Germany, Georgia, Romania, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Hungary and the UK!
