French cinema: a sneak peek at MMU
Description: The Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur is proud to present a unique French movie posters exhibition at MMU.

With posters coming from the collection of French world-renowned film studio Gaumont, the exhibition leads the public through a memorable journey into the history of French cinema. The audience will learn about movies from all periods ever since the advent of cinema, and about famous directors who made movies into works of art such as Sacha Guitry, Jean-Luc Godard and Louis Malle.

Cinema has always been a pillar of the cultural activity of the Alliances Françaises and the Embassy of France in Malaysia. This long-standing passion has been crystallized more than 20 years ago into the French Festival, which showcases every year a curated selection of French contemporary movies in addition to a multidisciplinary program including performing arts, gastronomy, visual arts, music...
