[PERFORMANCE] HANYUT

Aida Redza with her journey into “semangat” meets Hui Min Leow’s “bakar”. Both of them are curious about the position of themselves as artist while facing the question of environment (pollution, deforestation, overexploitation, etc.) with their work respectively, “semangat” and “bakar”. Perhaps, the spirituality is a way to reconnect the people to taste the beauty of nature and engage a moderate living lifestyle. In “Hanyut”, they will present the beginning of their new collaboration together with Boyz Chew and Zyee Leow from Orang Orang Drum Theatre to explore how the body could connect to the environment and create awareness about the importance of river, and the conservation of the source and flow of water.
