Volunteer Recruitment & Briefing – Fête de la Musique 2026

Love music, festivals, and meeting new people? Join the volunteer team for Fête de la Musique 2026, one of Kuala Lumpur's largest open-air music celebrations!

This year, Fête de la Musique returns to the heart of Kuala Lumpur at Dataran Merdeka and joins forces with KL Street Jam, one of DBKL's flagship community arts festivals. Together, we will transform the city centre into a vibrant space filled with live music, street performances, creative activities, local vendors, and thousands of festival-goers.

AFKL is looking for 20 enthusiastic volunteers to help make this exciting event a success.

Volunteer Dates

• Saturday, 20 June 2026 (from 10.30AM-9PM, 3h-4h slots will be given to volunteers)
• Sunday, 21 June 2026 (from 12PM - 7.30PM, 3h-4h slots will be given to volunteers)
• Availability for both days is highly preferred.
  

Volunteer Commitment

Volunteers should be available at some point between morning and evening during the festival weekend. However, don't worry — volunteers will generally be assigned short shifts of approximately 3 - 4 hours only, rather than being required to stay all day.

• Crowd guidance and visitor support
  
• Vendor and logistics assistance
  
• Festival activities support

Important

A volunteer briefing and coordination meeting will be held online via Zoom prior to the event. Priority will be given to volunteers who attend the briefing session, as important information regarding roles, schedules, and event operations will be shared.

• Saturday, 20 June 2026: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  
• Sunday, 21 June 2026: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  

We strongly encourage the use of public transport due to traffic congestion and limited parking. The nearest stations are LRT Pasar Seni and MRT Masjid Jamek, followed by a pleasant 7–10 minute walk to the venue.
