Fête de la Musique

AFKL is thrilled to announce that Fête de la Musique, the vibrant celebration originating from France, is back in the very heart of KL at Dataran Merdeka!

Mark your calendars for Saturday the 20th & Sunday the 21st, as we come together once again to revel in the joy of live music and the spirit of togetherness.

This year, Fête de la Musique joins forces with KL Street Jam, one of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur’s signature community arts festivals, to create an even bigger and more vibrant weekend festival experience in the city centre. Since its launch in 2013, KL Street Jam has transformed iconic public spaces such as Jalan Raja Laut and Dataran Merdeka into lively platforms for urban arts, street performances, and creative expression.

Together with DBKL, AFKL is proud to bring a dynamic open-air festival featuring local music acts, street performances, community activities, festival vibes, and a curated selection of local vendors and food stalls, celebrating the diversity and energy of Kuala Lumpur’s creative scene.

La Fête de la Musique, also known as World Music Day, is an annual event that celebrates the universal language of music and its unique ability to bring people from all walks of life together. This special collaboration with KL Street Jam reflects a shared vision of activating public spaces through culture, music, and community engagement for all.
