Ambil Peduli… Sustaining What Sustains Us

An Art Exhibition on Climate Change

In conjunction with the 2025 United Nations World Oceans Day Conference in Nice, Ambil Peduli… showcases powerful works by Malaysian artist Syul Hezri that confront the urgent realities of climate change through evocative oil paintings. From endangered species to extreme weather, each piece invites viewers to reflect, connect and act. Presented by Galeri Senikita, this exhibition is a visual call to care and to sustain what sustains us.

About the artist:


Shamsul Hezri, fondly known as syul, is a Sarawakian-born artist based in Kuala Lumpur. Prefering oil on canvas medium as his artistic practice, syul started making arts for 2 decades already. Holding an MBA from Universiti Malaya and years of exposure in the corporate world, he just started exhibiting his artworks only last year and now has exhibited in more than 10 solo and group exhibitions, his last was in London last year.

He got his inspiration and ideas for his arts from his extensive travelings and exploring art galleries worldwide. His arts involves storytelling and subliminal easter eggs in his paintings, ranging mainly on figurative, still life and landscape artworks.

syul is an ex-student of Alliance Francaise (AFKL). This art exhibition series titled 'Ambil Peduli...' in AFKL displays his artworks related to Climate Change, a subject that is in dire attention to everyone worldwide.
