Starting French early makes it easier to master...
Our immersion program makes it fun as well!

Please discover and choose our great classes for 3 to 6 year olds here below.

Group courses run for one term in one of our centres.

Our programmes are well-structured in order to achieve specific goals, but our main purpose is for each class to be great, fun and interactive so that children will enjoy joining them each week and develop a real love for French language.

Children
7 to 9 y.o.

Young Immersion
3 to 6 y.o.

Toddlers

Kindly take note that we are quite strict on age groups: each of them has been especially designed by our talented team to answer exactly the cognitive and affective development of your children.

Our teachers also adapt themselves to the specific needs of each child and each group.

Did you know?

Learning a new language at an early age makes it easier and faster, thanks to the young brain capacities and fewer inhibitions. It also helps to stimulate a child’s curiosity, makes them more open-minded and tolerant of diversity and improves their problem solving skills and creativity.

Young Immersion (3 to 6 years old)

  • Classes for 1.5 hour
  • A structured curriculum focusing on speaking skills through age-appropriate great activities
  • Maximum of 8 children per group

A fun introduction to the French-speaking world
Starting French early makes it easier to master… Our immersion program makes it fun as well!

Routines, games, songs, creative arts and other interactive and creative activities especially designed for their age will guide your children during their journey into French language. No English will be spoken – and kids will love it!

A structured programme
Although the class will make sure that children have a great time, our dedicated and experienced team created a very well-structured programme, focused on developing the language skills in respect with each child’s needs. Each class is structured the same way, following a precise framework that will reassure the children and encourage them to communicate in French.

During each term, the groups will explore two specific themes (for example: the house / the family, the sea / the transportations, the farm / the wolf) which introduce specific vocabulary and structures.

Developing speaking skills
Children will of course speak in English at first, but the teachers will encourage them to use French as often as they can. Through repetition, they will be able to understand and to speak more and more French, starting by the basics (meetings and greetings, colors, numbers, animals, etc). Thanks to immersion and to our small groups policy, each child will improve according to his/her own level and pace.

Our first focus will first be on oral skills. Writing and reading skills will be slowly introduced when the children turn 5, respecting each child’s own abilities and interests (some will start writing by themselves while others will prefer sticking letters – our goal there is that they all start to be in touch with writing but through their specific own fun way!).

A safe and comforting environment
A classroom has been especially designed at AFKL to welcome young and very young children. Children are grouped according to their age (for example: 3 and 4 / 4 and 5 / 5 and 6 years old).

Two adults - a teacher and an assistant - will make sure that each of them will enjoy the class. Children will get older together term after term: staying in the same timeslot with the same classmates, they will find happiness and confidence in stability.
