Après "Le Printemps des Poètes", "Avril des poètes" arrive en Malaisie !

What is it?
"Le Printemps des Poètes" is a French event happening each year in March. The main goal is to help people discover and learn more about poetry.
For this occasion, AFKL decided to organise a free poetry contest... in French!

How & When?

A free competition open to AFKL library members:

The entrants compete in one of the 4 categories:

“Jeune public” (under 15 years of age)

Non native French speaker
Native French speaker

“Adulte” (over 15 years of age)

Non native French speaker
Native French speaker

The competition is open to all registered members of the Alliance Française KL Library.

Prizes

Four winners!

Winners creations will be shared on social media at the end of April. Winners poems will be printed and displayed in the library.

The winner of each category will win a poetry book in French.

Theme & Writing rules

“Voyage au-delà des frontières”

This year's AFKL Poetry contest is inspired by the 2023 edition of "Le Printemps des Poètes". A fiew rules should be followed:

The poem must be written in French
The poem must respect the theme “Voyage au-delà des frontières”
The poem must not exceed 8 lines
The poem must not exceed 8 words per line
