In this level, you will start your journey into the French language!
You will learn the basics of French: greet and take leave, introduce yourself and someone (name, nationality, spoken languages, date of birth, email address, phone number, etc.), ask & answer to basic questions, express likes and dislikes, talk about your city, enquire about accomodation and make a booking, understand an itinerary and give directions, talk about the weather forecast, give impressions on a place.

In this level, you will learn how to: talk about your family and family events; describe someone's appearance; talk about your profession, passions and dreams; explain a health issue;  tell the time; talk about a timetable, about habits and daily activities; set an appointment; suggest, accept or refuse an outing.
Upon completion of Basic 2, you'll reach the level A1 in the French language!

Learn French to better understand your children’s daily life at school!

In this interactive class, you will learn the basics of French and its pronunciation, as well as the useful school vocabulary. You will also discover more about the French school organization and its specific way of teaching/learning, in order to help you accompany your children in their great journey at the Lycée Français.

Participants are beginners in the French language or knowing only a few words in French, with children schooled at the Lycée Français.

The classes will take place at Hévéa (kindergarten and primary school), from 11 January to 27 June, except during public and school holidays (no class on 1 and 29 February, 7 March, 4 and 11 April, 2 and 9 May).

Note: The textbook is the same as the one you used in October-December, so don't buy it again if you have it already :)

The class will open with a minimum of 6 participants. The maximum number of participants will be 14.

- The 15%  discount applies on 2024 fees for classes (does not apply on membership, textbook and exam fees), for a total discount  of RM327.
- The goodie bag offered in the early bird promotion includes a tote bag, a pen, a notebook, a conjugation book and a bookmark.
- The textbook and the goodies will have to be collected at AFKL centres or will be received by CityLink with an extra charge of RM15
- If  you don't  want to sit for DELF A1, you can remove the DELF registration on the cart page; Package fees will then be adjusted to RM2047
- The classes provided in this package will efficiently prepare the students to pass the exam. However, success isn't guaranteed and will be linked to the active participation of the student, including but not limited to: punctuality, regular attendance, participation in class, homework, . Should the student fail the exam, an attendance letter for the class will be provided

If you want to strengthen your speaking skills, this weekly opportunity is for you! Whenever online or onsite, conversations include a variety of informal topics such as French culture, life experiences, news, contemporary world, arts, history… or any themes of interest raised by the group. .

Our small group policy (8 students maximum) and the expertise of our great teachers will make these classes interactive and fun.
